The Twelve Days of Christmas-Introvert Style:Day Four

On the Fourth Day of Christmas
my true love gave to me
Four ear plugs
Three note books
Two soothing drinks
And a nice quiet place to just be.

Because honestly, ear plugs are the new black for introverts. Especially if the TV is blaring, the kids are playing too loudly, or the snow-blower is going down the street. For all of you, we wish for you Q-U-I-E-T this Christmas.

And today's number is 18! TadMack wins a box of the softest, almost non-detectable earplugs available. In fact, they're even named HEAROS. (Clearly an introvert was involved in that product development meeting!) But because earplugs don't quite have the necessary pizzazz, you also get a copy of a terrific new book I've just discovered, The Cabinet of Wonders by Marie Rutkoski.

Email me TadMack, and I will get your package right out to you.

Yours in quietude,

Robin and Mary

I love quiet places.
I wish the house were quiet.

Okay, now this is hilarious.
I mentioned earplugs YESTERDAY, and get the random pick today! Yay!

Thank you very much, guys.

TadMack, I thought the exact same thing! I saw your name and laughed. Or maybe it was a chortle.

I guess it just shows that anyone who thinks the Universe is truly random just hasn't been paying attention. :-)

Ear plugs sound like a great idea. I'm on snow day #3 (for kids and hubby) and still looking for a quiet place in the house.

I am very reliant on ear plugs.

Okay, the UP side of living in Folger's-ville is that it is so, so quiet! I am reveling in it.

Maybe too much Starbuck's is making the world nosier? :-) Is everyone just too buzzed?

Congrats, TadMack!

Earplugs. What a great idea! Especially this time of year :)

I have honestly never thought of wearing earplugs at home. I don't know why not, since the house is usually chaos. I'm going to have to go find some very comfy ones before winter break starts.

(And thanks for the "writing your character's wish list" idea. What fun!

Snow day #3, Annette!! Oh my stars and garters! That's one of the great things about living in So Cal, no snow days when the kids were young and rambunctious!

And funny thing on the ear plugs, I actually got the idea from Extroverted Son. I'd used them at night occasionally, but when ES was home last year at Thanksgiving, he had a huge term paper due, so he was doing a lot of school work while the rest of us where just Thanksgiving around. He popped earplugs in to help him stay focused and I thought, aha!

I have some of those noise-reducing earphones for my computer, and sometimes I use them even when I'm not listening to music. My family just assumes that I am listening to something.

Smart, Sheila! I need to start doing that. . .
