The Twelve Days of Christmas-Introvert Style: Day Two

On the second day of Christmas
my true love gave to me,
Two soothing drinks,
And a nice quiet place to just be

Maybe tell everyone you’re going Christmas shopping, but instead indulge in an hour alone with a warm, soothing drink as your only company. No, it's not being selfish; you will have more energy and heart to deal with all your holiday demands if you take care of yourself! Trust us on this.

And today’s winner is . . . Celise! who will have a couple of those soothing drinks on us via a Starbucks gift card. Email me Celise, and I will get it right out to you.

If you're just tuning in, you can check out the details of SVP's very own version of the Twelve Days of Christmas posted yesterday here.

This is exactly what we need right now - nice calming moments in the chaotic holiday rush. Can't wait to see the rest of the days!

I believe I am in the only town in America that doesn't have a Peet's, Starbucks or Coffee Bean.
Sob! I'm in Folger's country out here in Texas.

I'll innovate! Congrats, Celise!

Ouch! Folgers?? Do they at least have Dunkin' Donuts coffee? I've heard that's supposed to be terrific. . .

Sounds so wonderful, especially on a cold, rainy day like we're having in Phoenix.

No Starbucks and you're in Texas, Mary? You must be way out in the boonies! Come up to Arlington where there used to be one on every corner, but now there's still at least four or five.

My favorite is a locally owned place with everything a writer could want, including a carpeted floor to muffle all the coffee machine noise, delicious sandwiches, a plug near every cushy seat, and free wireless for anyone who spends at least a penny. (Not a Starbucks.) America's Best Coffee in Mansfield rules the coffee world.

Mmm... sounds good to me, too.

Love this idea. I'm saving it for Dec. 23 in the afternoon, when the kids will have been out of school for 4 days and I'll be in need of 1 hour to myself without anyone needing something from me every minute. And the fib about Christmas shopping--perfect!

Fabulous!! This is the 3rd thing I've won from you ladies!! It's been cold and rainy lately so this will be perfect. Thanks again.
